The Tattooed Bearded Barber

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Bearded Barber, Richard.

Richard is a local barber in the Fort Lauderdale area. He’s owned The Bearded Barber for 22 years and has been perfecting his craft over the course of the past 37 years.

While he is a very eclectic barber, he is also a tattoo collector!

Like hairstyles, he’s had many different tattoo styles. At the age of 18, he got his very first tattoo; a traditional rose. Over time, he developed a liking for tribal tattoos. Richard would eventually come to our very own shop to get some work done by Joel. Richard now wears Joel’s art proudly. He has a beautiful collection of Japanese traditional and Buddhist tattoos.

Richard is no stranger to the world of tattooing. His father was the owner of Fat Kat Tattoo in Jacksonville, Florida. After his father passed, the business was passed down to his brother who is still working hard to keep the tradition of tattooing alive and well.

Though the world of tattooing and the world of barbering are quite different, they share a common factor; they are both a form of art. As artists, we have a deep respect for each other and share the love for what we do. We are here to bless our clients with a fresh look that makes them feel good.

Give our good friend Richard a follow on Instagram (@thebeardedbarber.ftl) and be sure to get a fresh cut from him as well! You can check him out over at https://www.thebeardedbarberfl.com
